Sanderson Abel is a holder of a Master of Science in Economics from the University of Zimbabwe which he completed in 2002. Happily married with one girl and two boys.
His career started when he joined Midlands State University as a lecturer shortly after completing his Master’s degree in 2002. He worked for the University for five years up to 2007. At the University he taught the following modules; Econometrics, Quantitative Methods, Economics Statistics and Investment Analysis. Besides teaching he was involved in economic research where he produced various discussion papers and journal articles. The two Journal articles ‘A review of the determinants of share prices’. Journal of Social Sciences 5(3), 188-192, 2009; Determinants of share prices in Zimbabwe, The Dyke, Volume 2.2, 2006, co-authored. He has also written a number of articles published as discussion paper series at KwaZulu Natal University.
On leaving Midlands State University he briefly joined ZEPARU as a Research Fellow for one year in October 2007. As a research fellow he was responsible for undertaking various researches, undertaking training assignments. His research centred on savings mobilisation, real sector development and monetary developments.
In 2008, he joined the National Association of Non-Governmental Organisations as a Senior Researcher and Public Policy Officer. He rose through the ranks to become the Advocacy and membership Manager, the position he held up to the time when he left the organisation in 2011.
On leaving NANGO he re-joined ZEPARU as a Senior Research fellow in 2012. His duties included Undertaking empirical macro/micro economic policy research and analysis; contributing in producing regular ZEPARU publications on economic issues; participating in economic training assignments conducted by ZEPARU and producing regular publications on specific research assignments.
In 2013 he joined the Bankers Association of Zimbabwe as a Senior Economist the position he hold to date. Some of his duties include; producing industry position papers; Development of industry data base on various economic aggregates; monitoring Economic trends and their impact on banking sector; production of monthly banking sector bulletin and production of regular publications on specific research assignments of interest to the banking industry. He is also a regular columnist for the Herald newspaper.
Clive holds a BSc Honours Degree in Economics and is a full Associate of the Institute of Bankers of Zimbabwe (AIOBZ). He is also an Alumni with the ACI Institute (UK) and holds a certificate in Marketing Management with the Zimbabwe Institute of Management. Clive has also undergone extensive formal training in Credit Assessment, Derivatives and Structured Finance and Asset Liability Management.
Clive has over 16 years of experience in various senior roles in Banking, Treasury, Asset Management, Microfinance and the business media.
As Advocacy Executive, Clive is tasked with putting across to the private and public sectors, the thrust of the banking industry in Zimbabwe, whilst articulating the workings of the banking industry to the various stakeholder groups.
He is the key driver of the BAZ’s financial literacy and financial inclusion programmes which are being geared particularly to ensure that the unbanked segments are well informed on matters related to banking and are brought under the ambit of formal banking.
Sue has been with the Bankers Association of Zimbabwe since 2008. Prior to joining BAZ she was with OK Zimbabwe and Cellular Unique a subsidiary of Telecel Zimbabwe.

Nicholas is the Finance and Administration Manager in charge of the finance and administration of the organization. Nicholas has over ten years of experience in the finance and banking. He is a Certified Professional Finance Manager (CPFM) UK. Nicholas is a holder of a Master’s in Business Administration Finance (Ireland University). He also holds various finance and banking qualifications and has been with the organization for the past eight years. Nicholas is responsible for the overall finance and administration of the institute. He is a responsible, and organized hard worker and an effective communicator within the organization.
